About Us

Since the beginning phases of our initiative in 2015, our goals of bringing quality educational materials and altruistic resources to local and global communities interested in learning ethical practices have never wavered. By championing ethical practices, Legacy Education Group promotes a social and environmental landscape where concepts like Trust, Transparency, Ethics, Morals, and Sustainability, are as important to communities and organizations as profit maximization. Simply put, we believe that we can help strengthen the moral fiber and education of businesses and social communities everywhere.

Our Approach

The Legacy Education Group philosophy is to promote ethical practices while raising awareness and proposing solutions to the unique challenges local and global communities encounter. The multifaceted approach of Legacy Education Group includes a curated library of educational resources and original content on our 501(c)(3) / 509(a)(2) Non-Profit Partner websites, as well as grassroots community efforts for the purpose of fostering education, altruism, environmentally friendly practices, and legacy development.

Our History

Legacy Education Group was conceptualized in 2015 by Craig R. Gordon, a visionary who has spent much of his adult life working to make the world a better place by focusing on corporate ethics and sustainability. As a fourth generation co-owner in a North Carolina-based family recycling business dating back over 100 years, Craig earned his bachelor’s degree in geography at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, followed by an MBA at Barry University.

Following his studies, Gordon joined the family fold, overseeing various aspects of his family business’s day-to-day operations. But when doctors at the Mayo Clinic diagnosed Gordon with an auto-immune illness in 1984, Craig decided to dedicate his life’s purpose to continuing education in the interest of making the world more ethical and environmentally sustainable.

Over the last 25 years Gordon has curated a distinctive resource library of materials. As this library has progressively grown, Gordon now aims to share this information worldwide so that companies, communities, and individuals can learn to apply these philosophies and business practices. To accomplish his dream, Gordon assembled a team of professionals to carry out his vision and to provide the world with resources to power sustainable change.

The team represents an assortment of elite universities and provides expertise in subject areas that are pertinent to the project’s core values: TrustTransparencyEthicsMoralsCorporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and Sustainable Development. With more than 70 years of combined journalistic experience; bylines with over two dozen publications; and extensive area knowledge in the environment, health sciences, law, economics, philosophy, and psychology, the Legacy Education Group’s diverse background enables them to tackle wide-ranging subject matter with an unmatched level of expertise.

Gordon and his team recognized that there was an opportunity for companies, communities, and the individuals that represent them to adopt ethical practices and make better decisions in the interest of their stakeholders. They saw that the Legacy Education Group could be that resource. The Legacy Education Group team applies its experience, enthusiasm, and understanding of complex concepts to create content and solve solutions of unparalleled value to you, community members, and to small and family businesses everywhere.
